At CYC, experience and research form the foundation of our consulting philosophy. Capitalizing on decades of partnership with small and large companies in the US and abroad, and over 20 years of organizational research, CYC brings a truly unique perspective to your organization.
Our interest in consulting stems from the belief that every organization has the positive potential to meet the specific needs of its people—leaders, employees, and customers. This idea has translated to work with hundreds of individuals in dozens of organizations across a variety of industries. From small businesses evolving through periods of growth, to large corporations navigating shifts in leadership, our practical and research-based perspective has helped facilitate both smooth transitions and productive change. It’s CYC’s goal to make this effective change and meaningful growth a natural part of an organization’s path.
CYC’s consulting philosophy also aligns with our specialized research interests. With backgrounds in Business, Management Theory, Organizational Behavior, Industrial Psychology, Philosophy, Classical Theory, and Evolutionary Biology, our research experience involves a host of topics directly relevant to organizational behavior, growth, change, and management. We maintain active research programs, publishing and presenting on current topics applicable to real-world organizations. We bring our research experience and innate curiosity to CYC’s clients, offering a singular consulting experience.
What’s it like working with CYC?
If you’ve never worked with a consultant before (or even if you have), you might have some questions about the process. We do things differently at CYC, and we think these differences are our greatest strength.
From initial consultation to follow-up meetings, each experience is crafted specifically for each client. All clients begin with a preliminary questionnaire, identifying your ideal consulting experience and goals. We’ll use this information to form a unique plan that suits your organization. Meetings with employees, management teams, etc. will be determined based on goals and expected outcomes. After your participation, it’s our turn to get to work- we analyze the data provided by you and your team to craft a tailored strategic plan with specific, actionable goals and milestones for you and your organization.
Unlike many consulting services, CYC’s job doesn’t end there. We offer follow-up consultations on a regular basis (many clients choose to meet monthly, quarterly, biannually, etc.) to partner with you along your journey to practically achieve your goals. We don’t believe in the standard consulting pattern of disappearing and wishing you luck after our report is given. Organizational change and development is complicated, often convoluted, and rarely free of setbacks. We will work with you to overcome these obstacles as they arise.
